Truckers at the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach participated in a work stoppage recently to protest against a California state law.
The law, called Assembly Bill 5-AB5, would limit the use of independent contractors, instead classifying them as employees.
Truckers at the Port of Oakland also plan to follow suit with their own strike on Monday.
Oakland has already cut the free time available at the port before demurrage is incurred from seven days to four days in a bid to get cargo moving out of the terminals faster.
